The seat can be easily mounted in a forward or rear-facing position on the Takata ISOFIX base. This means that children can face against the direction of travel, which is safer, until the age of around 18 months. Children can also be transported in a forward-facing position at any time. The five-point belt and airpad safety technology provide additional protection, while soft microfiber materials that are certified as harmless and accentuated, high-quality double stitching in three color options mean the Takata Midi is ideal for every vehicle environment.\n\nSpecial features:\n- ISOFIX technology\n- Can be used in a rear-facing position until the age of around 18 months\n- Five-point belt system with wide belts\n- Single-handed belt height adjustment\n- Magnetic buckle tongue for simple fastening\n- Airpad safety technology for improved side-impact protection and a softer headrest\n- Soft microfiber materials, tested for harmful substances (washable)\n- fabric: 100% Polyester; foam: 100% Polyurethane\n\nAirpads:\nThese static cushions are made of the same tear-resistant fabric as vehicle airbags, and contain both air and foam. In the case of a side impact, the air is compressed, and flows out through the fabric. As in an airbag, this reduces the energy from the impact, providing a vital layer of protection between the child and the seat. Unlike traditional child seat crash pads, the airpads are also soft and comfortable in day-to-day use. This airpad technology is patented and is found in every Takata child seat.\n\nISOFIX:\nISOFIX is a shared, standardized system that makes installing child seats easy.
