The L5 series goes further than Smart TV, as these TVs also feature active shutter 3D capabilities for a more immersive, realistic and action-packed viewing experience. Depending on the model, two pairs of lightweight active shutter 3D glasses are bundled with the TV or available separately. Clever 2D to 3D conversion means you can even play your existing video library in 3D brilliance. So you get more added value from a series that delivers Smart TV and 3D TV in one.

With a Full HD 1080p resolution, the L5 TV clearly defines your viewing experience. Colours are true and more vibrant, whilst images are sharper and more detailed. The L5 is highly responsive too, and keeps the action moving smoothly through your movies, sports and documentaries - particularly in 3D mode, thanks to fast, fluid AMR+ 400 picture processing (AMR+ 200 in 2D mode). You can see it all on the energy-efficient Edge LED display, which consumes less power while delivering beautifully vivid scenes.
YOUR CONTENT, IN A NEW LIGHT
Your L5 TV comes with a media player, making it easy to playback the music, videos and photos stored on a USB stick or external HDD. Simply plug it into the USB port on the TV for a quick and convenient way to enjoy your media in comfort. With HDMI connectivity, it's easy to share the content from your games console, set-top box, DVD and Blu-ray player too. What's more, the 55L5 model offers PVR (Personal Video Recording) function allowing you to record your favourite programmes on a USB stick or USB hard disk. Using the PVR timeshift function you will even be able to pause and rewind live TV.

This sleek and stylish series follows the same distinctive design as the full Toshiba TV range. Edge LED technology helps give the L5 its super slim profile, whilst the narrow bezel design enhances the sophisticated look of this Smart TV. The L5 comes in two design variations – one with a silver trim and stand available in 102 cm (40") or 121 cm (48") screen sizes, the other with a black glass stand available in an 140 cm (55") screen size.
