300Mbps Wireless N ADSL2+ Modem Router TD-W8960N is a high performance modem router that provides a full rate of ADSL2+ standard with the superb reliability and a cost-effective solution for home and small business. It combines the function of a high-speed DSL modem, a 4-Port 10/100Mbps NAT router and a wireless N access point. With the TD-W8960N, you can easily create a secure wireless network and share a high-speed internet connection while access to shared files, music, photos, and printers with multiple computers.
One-Stop Solution
The TP-LINK TD-W8960N is an All-in-One device that combines the functions of a high speed DSL modem, a 4-Port 10/100Mbps NAT router and a wireless N access point. No need to buy a separate router and wireless access point, the TD-W8960N is designed to give you a one-stop solution to acquiring and sharing high speed internet access over a wired/wireless network. TD-W8960N allows you to completely get rid of cable clutter of multiple devices over the desktop while at the same time helps you save the cost of procurement and the cost of device running.
Access High-Speed Internet
Unlike a dial-up Internet service, a DSL Internet connection is always on so that you do not have to wait to access the web. Supporting the latest ADSL standard, the TD-W8960N provides higher performance (up to 24Mbps downstream and 3.5Mbps upstream) and longer reach from your Internet Service Provide (ISP) Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplexer (DSLAM). This device also supports TR-069, which automatically updates the firmware and other setting when they become available from your ISP.

With the TD-W8960N, you can create a wireless network which has an unrivalled wireless speed and coverage range. Adopting 11N’s technology, you can get your wireless network up to 15x the speed and 5x the range of conventional 11g products. Now you can share your high-speed DSL Internet connection, photos, video, and Network Attached Storage (NAS) and even the bandwidth consuming applications like HD video streaming wirelessly which can not be accommodated by 11g products with multiple users.
Quick Secure Setup – QSS
The TD-W8960N supports the latest wireless security features to help prevent unauthorized access and protect the wireless connection. Compatible with Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS), the TP-LINK TD-W8960N features Quick Security Setup that allows you to almost instantly automatically setup a WPA2 secure connection simply by pressing the “QSS” button on the modem router automatically or entering the PIN Code in the net card. Not only is this faster than normal security setups but more convenient in that you don’t need to remember a password anymore.
IPSec VPN
Having the function of IPSec VPN, TD-W8960N allows you securely access the company’s central network through the Internet when you are off-site or travelling. VPN (Virtual Private Network) function can create encrypted tunnels between the company’s network and the remote users. These tunnels use virtual connections instead of the dedicated, real-world connection such as leased line. Having the IPSec VPN function, the TD-W8960N is no longer just a wireless ADSL modem router, it can also works as a VPN gateway, which supports up to 10 IPSec VPN tunnels simultaneously. As such, users can allow for complete data privacy for the access and exchange of user’s most sensitive data from home to corporate network or between remote branch offices safely.

The device comes with a CD with an Easy Setup Assistant that helps you step by step to complete your Internet connection, wireless network settings and security configurations.
