The Typhoon Firewire DV4YOU is a high performance IEEE 1394 PCI card with 3 i.Link™ ports. Built to facilitate high speed data transfer of up to 400Mbps data rate. The IEEE 1394 ports (i-Link™ or Firewire™) are high performance serial bus that supports IEEE 1394-1995 , P1394a and OpenHCI enhancements. These 3 ports can be easily hot-plugged with IEEE 1394 devices without PC shut-downs and reboots.

With the Typhoon Firewire DV4YOU, you can create and edit Home Videos with DV Camera, video tape or CD. Send the captured video via e-mail or enhance your website (s) with streaming video. The package includes software for professional editing of the images captured. You can edit, cut, paste, trim and even transfer MP3 files. (Note: i.Link™ is the term used by Sony, Panasonic, JVC, Canon and Sharp. Apple computer refers to it as Firewire™)
