Control your environment with this new universal IR remote control module. The Techconnect Control takes over the core functions of the projector remote control, meaning no more losing remotes and no more confusion over how to use your expensive AV equipment.
Using the Techconnect Control in every AV installation to standardize the way the equipment is used and controlled will result in the users growing more confident and comfortable with the equipment, resulting in fewer technical support calls.
Modular Form-Factor
Projector remote controls all vary. For example some share one button for 'power on' and 'power off', and others have two separate buttons. The Techconnect Control is made in modular form so you can change the buttons and labels to suit each projector.
The two centre buttons are each capable of learning two codes each, so for projectors whose remotes have four individual source select buttons, you can assign the two computer inputs to one button, and the two video inputs to the other button. A blanking panel is also included so that if the volume control is not required or serves no useful purpose, you can blank it.
Simple to use
Simply push a button and you'll hear a reassuring 'beep' to let you know it is in control. The Techconnect Control is powered by two AAA batteries just like a normal projector remote control.
It's also simple to program and install:
- Press the 'learn' button on the rear;
- Press button on the front panel you want to assign the incoming code to;
- Point the projector remote at the rear of the module and press the button.
That's it! An IR blaster cable is connected from the rear of the module to the projector to carry the signals to the projector.
Secure
Projector remote controls are all too often lost or stolen, which often results in turning ceiling-mounted projectors on with a boom handle, or by climbing up on the table. And of course if you've lost your remote switching inputs will be impossible. Because this control device is bolted to the wall it will certainly not be lost, and it is far less likely to be stolen.
Techconnect Module
The Techconnect Control comes with its own single-gang surround and backbox, or you can mount it in a double-gang surround and position it next to other modules. Being part of the Techconnect family, you can have all your input connectors centralized on a Techconnect faceplate right next to your control module. Perfect for training rooms, meeting rooms, boardrooms, and classrooms.
