The new Vivanco power units comply with the latest EU standards and directives (Eco-Design Directive for EuP = Energy using Products). For power units, this means a significant reduction in standby consumption to below 0.3 Watt and a considerable increase in efficiency. For example, while conventinal power units convert 50% of the energy into waste heat, the energy losses for the new generation of products are only about 20%.
