The walimex pro 35/1.4 lens is a versatile wide-angle lens, that gives the photographer more possibilities of being creative. It is perfectly suitable for reportage, landscape, and portrait photography. It has a focal length of 35mm, a lens speed of 1.4 and a mechanical aperture ring. The reproduction quality is extremely high and distortion-free.
It was possible to reduce the dimensions and weight of the lens due to the use of two lenses with very high refraction and with the help of the spherical lens, the chromatic aberration was minimalized.
Due to the high lens speed the walimex pro lens allows the use of shorter exposure times or lower ISOs. In digital cameras this reduces image noise. The high lens speed facilitates setting apart the motif from the blurry background or foreground. The background stands out with a particularly beautiful bokeh.
The extremely high lens speed has a positive effect on the brightness of the viewfinder and facilitates focusing. At maximum aperture the lens has a very low depth of field which makes it easier to selectively set the focus.
The lens is inner focusing. This is a technique, in which not all lens groups inside the lens are adjusted for focusing, but just one or a few. The filter thread will not move when focusing the lens and the balance point stays almost the same.
