One Touch 4800 The Xerox 4800 is perfect for the home or small office user who wants a fast and easy-to-use scanner for establishing a paperless office or creating colourful projects for print or Internet use.

The scanner has five One Touch buttons, four of which are pre-configured, allowing you to send scanned images straight to PaperPort for editing, email, OCR for editing text or a printer.

The Xerox 4800 comes complete with ScanSofts PaperPort Deluxe 8.0 with built-in OCR and Ulead’s PhotoExpress 3.

FlashBack Bi-directional AutoScan Technology
Other scanners take two complete passes to perform an autocrop scan. The Xerox 4800 with our revolutionary FlashBack technology saves time by doing it in a single pass. With FlashBack AutoScan enabled, the scanner moves one way to preview the image area quickly, automatically crops to the edges of the photo then reverses direction and performs the final high resolution scan on the return trip.

Easy to Setup and Use
Just press a One Touch button to scan and send an image to the destination of your choice. While intelligent default button settings give perfect results on common scanning tasks, the One Touch preferences utility makes it simple to customise the buttons if needed.

Organise
Simply drag and drop your scanned documents to and from colour-coded folders on your PaperPort Deluxe desktop to keep all of your documents and images organised.

Retrieve
SimpleSearch engine allows you to locate documents based on content, keywords, title, comments or creator. Background indexing uses PaperPorts built-in OCR engine to add every word in a document to the search database.

Edit Photos
Photo Express gives you powerful yet easy-to-use editing tools to personalise your favourite photos in no time. Create impressive greetings cards, calendars, web pages and much more with just a few clicks, then send them to friends & family or share them on the Internet.

Distribute
Just drag a scanned documents thumbnail to your fax or email link, select the recipients name from your address book, and eliminate costly overnight delivery charges.
