The sound bar uses 22 array speakers controlled by Yamaha's YSP technology to produce powerful beams for extremely high-quality surround sound. Two powerful 2 1⁄2” (6.5 cm) woofer units in its large cabinet also help to improve sound quality, while its aluminum body dampens unwanted vibrations. The subwoofer has a large 6 1⁄2” (16 cm) driver and uses Yamaha's exclusive Advanced YST technology to produce clear, powerful bass. The circuit board has an ideal grounding pattern that ensures stable current supply. The Linear Port improves sound dispersion and is designed to minimize unnecessary noise.
