SHDSL Network Extender 2040 - 4 port
The SNE2040G allows Carriers, ISPs and PTTs to deliver Ethernet services to virtually anywhere, using standard SHDSL circuits. The SNE2040G offers up to 9.2 Mbps of extremely reliable and efficient Ethernet service over the WAN, delivering the bandwidth required to support a sophisticated new generation of small and medium business customers.
The SNE2040G features four (4) SHDSL ports, each capable of up to 2.3 Mbps bandwidth, and can be connected directly to any 10/100 Mbps Ethernet port on a PC or LAN to extend Ethernet over simple twisted-wire pairs. The SNE2040G can be used in a point-to-point configuration with other SHDSL Network Extenders as well as with EtherXtend Ethernet in the First Mile (EFM) CPE, or it can be used to terminate SHDSL lines from both Zhone's MALC Multi-service Access Loop Carrier or the IPD4000E/12000E IP-DSLAM.
When used with a compatible product, one, two, or four ports may be used in any combination to deliver high-speed bandwidth at any given distance. The loop bonding technology used is automatic, efficient and resilient, providing configuration-free deployment and a greater total throughput than traditional SHDSL lines.
Zhone's family of EFM based Network Extenders provide an extremely cost-effective, flexible and easy to use solution for providing Ethernet based services to subscribers throughout the service providers network. Ethernet over bonded SHDSL is ideal for delivering highly reliable and resilient. With the SNE2040G rates of up to 9.2 Mbps are supported, and bonded groups are automatically created, removed and repaired, providing both ease of use as well as maximum uptime.
The SNE2040G is designed for ease-of-use; configuration requirements are removed completely, allowing this device to be installed into the customer premise quickly and cost-effectively. The SNE2040G is based on Ethernet transport technology over standard SHDSL lines, providing a 100% Ethernet-based access technology for optimum usability, throughput and reliability.ª
