Backup Module ensures that your Zipabox Smart Home Controller and your home security system has power and Internet autonomy in case of power outage or outage of fixed Internet connection. It provides customers with convenient way to set up a 3G backup connection by just plugging in 3G USB stick. As most operators offer special discounts for M2M service, this is considered as most cost-effective way to set up security backup connection.

It also comes with built-in tamper sensor, which will detect shocks and vibrations and alert you when the module is tampered with.

Backup module is usually used in security applications and in all other cases when reliability is important. It provides redundant battery power for 24 hours as well as enables using 3G stick for data backup line from GSM operator.
