MSR 50 G2 Multi-Service Module Multi-Service Processor Hosts Embedded Encryption and Voice Processing Modules
The 3Com® MSR 50 G2 Multi-Service card (MSCB) module hosts service-enabling processor engines such as Enhanced Services Modules (ESM) and Voice Co-Processing Modules (VCPM).
The MSCB is a high performance multi-service module with expansion bays for voice processing and encryption acceleration. Two ESM bays provide support for multiple network data encryption accelerators, either standard (SNDE) or advanced (ANDE) versions to provide increased encryption throughput.
A Voice Co-Processor Processing Module (VCPM) bay provides support for an optional Voice Co-Processor Module, enhancing TDM voice support and reducing load on the router's main processor.
This G2 Multi-Service card module is required on the 3Com MSR 50 Series when the 3Com MSR 50 G2 Processor Module is used. For the 3Com MSR 20 and 30 Series, this module is not needed, as the functionality is embedded in the router.
