OC WLESS 108MBPS ACCESS POINT FREE OC WLESS 108MBPS USB ADAPT IN (NMS)
No need to drill holes or run Ethernet cabling to set up your network. The Wi-Fi-certified 3Com® PoE access point is an attractive solution for cost effectively and securely extending mobile access to wired network resources or creating full-featured networks in small and medium businesses, remote sites, or temporary locations. Each access point (AP) supports up to 64 wireless users, so there is plenty of room for growth.
PoE support overcomes installation problems by eliminating the need for an AC power plug at each AP. The 3Com Baseline Switch 2226- PWR Plus or other 802.3af-compliant PoE products can supply both power and data to the access points through Category 5 or 6 Ethernet cabling, giving you flexible installation options in hard to wire or reach locations.
Tough WPA and TKIP and U.S. government-standard AES encryption provide the latest standards-based security. For additional protection, the AP supports 802.1X and MAC address access control, authentication, and authorization through backend RADIUS servers. 802.1Q-compliant VLAN support combined with the multiple SSID and security profiles let you design flexible security for different user groups, control access to network resources, and segment user traffic. Versatile Wireless Distribution System (WDS) solves complex wireless connectivity problems, supporting point-to-point, point-to-multipoint, repeater and client modes.
PoE eliminates installation problems with hard to wire or reach locations, supplying power over Category 5 or 6 data cables
802.11g standard supports speeds up to 108 Mbps in SuperG mode for high-speed access and wide coverage
Supports toughest industry-standard WPA and TKIP and U.S. government AES encryption; also supports legacy WEP clients
Multiple SSID support allows SSIDs to be bridged together or isolated for flexible security control
802.1Q VLAN groups users according to data or traffic requirements to segment traffic flow based on business priorities
MAC-based and 802.1X AAA support centralizes wireless security through existing network RADIUS servers
Rogue AP detection identifies and logs unauthorized, potentially harmful APs
Access control screens device MAC addresses to ensure only trusted clients access the WLAN
Wi-Fi certified 802.11g helps ensure interoperability with Wi-Fi-certified products from other vendors; supports both 11g and 11b users
AP can function as a bridge supporting point-to-point, point-to-multipoint, repeater, and client modes
Auto configuration and Auto firmware update simplify and speed setup and operation
Familiar Web browser interface lets you configure and manage APs from anywhere on the network.
