Still, speed is not everything the printer excels in, but also reliability and useful features like an on board USB 2.0 interface ?usually only available optionally with other printers.

Along with high compatibility and a wide range of applications, the T-2 offers special features and services: it prints high-quality, two-colour vouchers and receipts. Your customers print accurately detailed graphics, bar codes and logos on 80 mm wide thermal paper at 7 dots/mm (180dpi) using the integrated CPU and large graphics memory. Thus, the T-2 creates receipts continuously and almost silently without troublesome breakdowns. An 83 mm roll diameter minimises disruptions from worn materials and, due to easy paper handling, replacement rolls are inserted in no time at all.

Optimised hardware components and software guarantee fast and fail-safe operation (MCBF of over 70 million lines). In order to reduce wait times, improve the quality of receipts and increase cashier workflow even in peak times, the T-2 not only has first-class printing performance, but also has the most up-to-date equipment: the fail-safe auto-cutter (minimum of 1.5 million cuts) ensures long-term use without impacting quality or speed. It cuts vouchers cleanly, either with a full or partial cut of the roll. Its mechanical design, sturdy cutting blade and housing ensure long-term operation without failures. In case of paper jams, users easily reach the paper guide that is located directly under the lid.

USB interfaces have already become standard in IT and are now also becoming so at POS terminals. Nowadays, various POS systems require USB 2.0. However, most cash desk printers still operate with USB 1.1. The T-2 is different: it features a USB 2.0 high-speed interface with a data transfer rate of 480 Mbps. Compared to that, USB 1.1 can only reach a mere 12 Mbps. If your customer wants to communicate via USB, additional interfaces are not required! If your customer still requires a serial, parallel or Ethernet interface, you can simply equip the printer with an additional interface module.

The T-2 is compatible with Windows 95/98/ME/NT4.0/XP/2003 Server and OPOS (UPOS version 1.9) and is also equipped with special features and software tools. A Flash-ROM for firmware upgrades prepares you for future demands. With the NV image tool you can export company logos or promotion-related graphics of your customers directly onto the printer's large 4 MB graphics memory. However, with the high-speed interface this is almost irrelevant, as the transfer speed of 480 Mbps means that you can send your images practically in real-time to the printer. The Virtual Memory Switch Manager (VMSM) and Statistic Data capability offer your customers enormous flexibility and a continuous overview of the hardware status.
