The Wireless Motion Detector is an extension module of the Privest Wireless Alarm Center. It is a passive infrared (PIR) motion detector which detects moving body heat and reports it to the alarm control panel.

The ideal installation place for the Privest Wireless Motion Detector is directly at the wall, up to 3 meters above the floor, in one of the room’s corners. Any place that is exposed to a heat source (e.g. radiator) or a window is not suitable for installation. Likewise, do not install your motion detector in the immediate vicinity of power cables, gas lines or electronic devices, which generate heat when operated for long periods. A fax machine, for example, can generate heat in your absence and trigger a PIR motion detector.

The angle of view of the Privest Wireless Motion Detector is 90 degrees; its detection range is up to 12 meters, depending on the elevation at which it is installed.
