As more high-density servers come online, businesses are increasingly requiring advanced RAID functionality in a small form factor. This is exactly the need addressed by the new Adaptec 2130SLP card. This controller provides a number of advanced features for entry-level and mid-range servers, such as full capacity utilization of mixed size drives.
Ultra320 SCSI: Faster and smarter
The Adaptec 2130SLP RAID controller features Ultra320 SCSI and data transfer rates up to 320 MByte/sec. Adaptec developed a new technology called Seamless Streaming to optimize Ultra320 performance, maximizing bus utilization and minimizing command overhead as multiple commands are transferred in a single connection and at higher speeds.
The Adaptec 2130SLP card features the Adaptec RAID Code (ARC) with standard RAID 0, 1, 5, 10, 50, JBOD as well as Adaptec Advanced Data Protection Suite with RAID 1E, 5EE, 6, 60, Copyback Hot Spare and optional Snapshot Backup.
The Adaptec Advanced Data Protection Suite includes advanced RAID levels and features*:
- Hot Space (RAID 5EE)
- Striped Mirror (RAID 1E)
- Dual Drive Failure Protection (RAID 6, 60)
- Copyback Hot Spare
- Snapshot Backup (optional)
