The amplifier MAP 800II is the most powerful and most advanced integrated amplifier of the Advance Acoustic range. In designing MAP 800II , we wanted to achieve high performance levels, worthy of a preamplifier and a separate amplifier, while retaining flexibility and ease of use.
Its superb presentation is of rational design and perfect technical accuracy. Its ultra-rigid chassis, partitioned into five compartments for receiving circuit boards and the imposing high power toroïdal transformer (800 VA), eliminates any risk of interference between the different circuits in the device.
MAP 800II is capable of rendering, with natural likeness the subtle details from the best sources and powering all types of speakers, respecting the quality of the music. Indeed, it integrates the best components currently available: metal film resistors, polypropylene capacitors, as a hybrid assembly of FET transistors and of high current bipolar power transistors and with Its high quality output of 200W per channel in class AB, the first 40 Watts are in class A. The commutation of Class A towards class AB is automatic.
The sophisticated connecting facilities of MAP 800II enables numerous connections to different sources, as well as a plug for headset on the right front panel.
MAP 800II is equipped with seven inputs, whose commutation is performed by relays. These enable to connect: four unbalanced high-level sources, two high-level sources as well as a phono input for a turntable equipped with a moving magnet cartridge, or moving coil cartridge.
On MAP 800II , it is also possible to disconnect electronically, via the remote control, the pre-amplifier section, from the amplifier section, in order to use a subwoofer for example, or use only the power amplifier to improve the musical output of the front left and front right channels in Audio Video.
A "Record" output makes it possible to connect a recorder.
The plugs of the speaker outputs are duplicated in order to ensure an easier bi-wiring.
In the rear panel, you will find a switch that permits to light off or on the vumeters.
A remote control device delivered with MAP 800II makes it easier to use.
