8 port 24V Passive POE Web Smart Switch
Can’t find a PoE switch for your Passive PoE equipped APs? Can’t get 100 meter of cabling distance? The AirLive PoE-FSH8PW is about to change everything. It is the industry’s first 24V Passive PoE switch with full power internal power supply and rack mountable. The AirLive POE-FSH8PW is an 8-Port, 24V DC passive POE, Web Smart Switch. It provides 24V DC power and data transmission over a single Ethernet cable, and is the ideal distribution switch for AirLive’s Wireless solution. With the Passive POE function, the POE-FSH8PW can power AirLive’s passive POE CPE or AP without additional power adapter. Moreover, it provides a remote management function for enabling/disabling the POE power output. POE-FSH8PW also provides other useful network management functions, such as port based VLAN, Tag VLAN, Bandwidth Control, Trunking, and Broadcast Storm Control. For Wireless Hotspot or WISP system, POE-FSH8PW helps the installer not only to establish the network easier, but to design the network more flexible and secure.
POE-FSH8PW for Hotspot
With AirLive passive POE supported AP and hotspot gateway, POE-FSH8PW provides a complete solution for hotel, restaurant and coffee shop. There is no need to do additional wiring for electric power; the only thing to do is to plug the Ethernet cable the AP and POEFSH8PW. For the POE-FSH8PW will both power on the AP and transmit the data via this cable.
Note: If you are not sure whether your AP supports 24V passive POE, please check with your vendor. Connect an AP that is unable to withstand 24V electric power might damage both your AP and the switch.
POE-FSH8PW for WISP
POE-FSH8PW also suits for WISP application. The network planner can quickly settle the whole wireless system with minimum cost of cabling. The designer can use POE-FSH8PW to connect to AirLive’s wide coverage AP and outdoor CPE. Then connect the CPE with remote wireless base station for supplying stable and high quality Internet service.
Tag Based VLAN
Unlike ordinary web management switch that has only rudimentary port settings function. The POE-FSH8PW equipped with some very useful and advance management features. Tag based VLAN allows administrators to configure VLAN groups across different switches. Private VID function is supported to allow switches to write tag information into the packet. Defining complex VLAN function across the entire network becomes much easier.
Broadcast Storm Control, Trunking, Bandwidth Control, Port Mirror
The broadcast storm control prevents one single station flood the network with broadcast packet. MAC based Trunking allows combining several ports to multiply the speed of one link. The bandwidth control function allows the network administrator to limit the traffic by Ethernet port. Finally port mirror is provided to allow MIS to sniff the packet of each port for diagnostic purpose.
Remote Management and fi rmware upgrade via Web browser
The POE-FSH8PW allows user to configure the switch or firmware upgrade through local LAN or over the Internet from web browser. In addition, it also supports Statistics Overview for network administrator to monitor the traffic usage of the network.
