The AirLive WLA_5200AP is AirLive's latest multi_function 802.11a/b/g Access Point that operates in 5GHz or 2.4GHz frequency bands. It features incredible 6 wireless operation modes. Featuring the power RTL_8651B RISC processor, it is a powerful yet cost effective solution.
<b>Operates in 5Ghz or 2.4Ghz spectrum</b>
The AP can operate in 802.11a, b, or g mode. When it is in the 802.11a mode, it operates in the much quieter 5GHz spectrum. Comparing to other indoor 802.11a/b/g solutions, the AirLive WLA_5200AP features 802.11h compliance and firmware with adjustable ACK timing. So you can pair it with higher gain antenna and go the extra distance. OvisLink Corp. further improve the 802.11a output signal from standard 12dB to 16dB for better long distance performance.
<b>7 Mode Wireless</b>
The WLA_5200APv2 features an incredible 7_mode firmware.
- AP Mode : The WLA_5200AP is the central hub for all your wireless devices.
- Bridge Mode : To connect 2 LANs together wirelessly.
- Client Mode : Turn the WLA_5200AP into a wireless card so you can connect with remote AP.
- WDS Repeater : To increase the wireless coverage of a WDS enabled AP/Router.
- Universal Repeater : AirLive's unique universal repeater function let the WLA_5200AP extend the coverage of your AP/Router, even if your AP/Router doesn't have WDS function.
- WISP Mode : The WISP mode is similar to Client Mode. IP sharing function is added so you can share the WISP connection with many PCs.
- WISP+Universal Repeater : The WISP+Universal Repeater mode let you share WISP connection on both wireless and wired side.
- Gateway (AP+Router) : In this mode, the AP will function like wireless router. It has NAT function for IP Sharing.
<b>ACK Timeout and TX Power Regulation</b>
The WLA_5200AP features ACK timeout function to let you adjust the timeout value for long distance operation. In addition, mult_level TX power adjustment let you match different antennas for law compliance. The ability to set lower TX output power is also crucial if you want to match the AP with external power amplifier.
<b>Extended Security Features</b>
The WLA_5200AP support WEP, WPA and WPA2 security functions. In addition, WPA enterprise for 802.1x authenticator are featured for AP and WDS mode. The combination of Encryption, Hide SSID and Access Control ensures your wireless network is completely secured from intruder.
