Apple Airport card. 11Mbps 802.11b
This is a used part from a recycled computer. In the case of a functional part, it has been fully tested prior to putting in stock and is guaranteed to be fully functional.
Original Apple 11Mb/sec 802.11b Airport wireless networking card for older Apple laptops and desktop. See below for a list of Apple models that require this type of Airport card. These computers cannot take the newer Airport Extreme card and can only support wireless using the original card which Apple stopped manufacturing some time ago.
Note that although the later Airport Extreme card is generally used in the PowerMac G4 Mirror Door FireWire 800 range, the very last model Apple produced, the 2003 1.25GHz single processor version, reverted to using this original 11MB/s Airport card.
Being 802.11b standard compliant means that this card is fully compatible with 3rd parts routers and wireless access points as well as Apple's own Airport base stations.
