750W Xserve Power Supply Kit For extra peace of mind, add a second hot-swappable power supply to your Xserve configuration and connect each to a separate UPS or power circuit. This 750W Power Supply Kit is compatible with the Intel-based Xserve (early 2008).

Xserve comes standard with a single 750W power supply and can be upgraded with a dual redundant power supply. When two power supplies are installed and connected to power, each power supply will share half of the load of the system during normal operation but can supply the entire system load in the case of a power supply failure. The power supplies are hot-swappable, so when two power supplies are installed, one can be removed while the system is operational and replaced.

Two power cords are supplied with each installed power supply - a standard 6-foot length power cord and a short 10-inch cord for in-rack direct connection to a power distribution unit (sold separately).
