What is a water softener?

A water softener is an installation that contains certain ion exchange resins. The ion exchange resins store the hardeners from the water. After the hard water has passed the ion exchange resin, the lime is removed from the water. The water softener automatically regenerates the ion exchange resins using a salt water rinse. This salt water for regeneration is gained from a special salt and is routed into the waste water after the regeneration process.

Your technician connects water softeners directly to the water pipes, which allows you to use softened water all over the house, as needed.
