As long as the S.M.A.R.T. attributes are close to or below the threshold of HD life span, the "Cution" LED of the Predictor Docking will be flashing as a reminder to the users.

Note that S.M.A.R.T. attibutes change slowly over time and are helpful attempts to diagnose the life span of a particular drive.
