VDRW/DW1655 16xDL Lscribe IDE int R Blk
Together with LightScribe and BenQ's leading DVDRW technology, customers benefit from the very best technology and application in a combined offering. LightScribe is simply the easiest, most impressive disc labeling solution around. With LightScribe technology, you can burn labels directly onto your CDs and DVDs using the same disc drive that burns your data.
The three elements of the LightScribe system are designed to work together seamlessly: LightScribe hardware (BenQ DW1655), software, and media give you great looking, customized labels for your CDs and DVDs- wherever and whenever you need them.
- Hardware: The BenQ DW1655 LightScribe-enabled drive recognizes and reads special LightScribe media to ensure precise, consistent imaging on the disc surface for sharp, detailed labels.
- Software: LightScribe-enabled software from your favorite software companies makes it easy to create disc labels - using your own text, photos, or designs.
- Media: A thin dye coating on the label side of LightScribe discs absorbs laser light, which tiggers a chemical reaction to give you a silkscreen-quality reproduction of your artwork, text, or photos.
BenQ SolidBurn -- Intelligent Self-Learning Writing Technology
Tired of the frequent firmware updates required to maintain your drive's support of blank DVD media? With SolidBurn, the DW1655 is able to apply its own Self-Learning. Writing Strategy algorithm to allow unknown DVD±R media to be written with increased quality. So there is no need for users to update the media support list in their DVD drive as the drive keeps itself up-to-date and ensures best writing quality on all DVD±R media. Better yet, SolidBurn supports the Over-Speed Burning that allows you to burn a 4x or 8x DVD±R disc at 8x or higher speeds. Click here to learn more about BenQ SolidBurn Technology.
Write Right Technology
BenQ's exclusive Write Right Technology utilizes two powerful features: Tilt Control and WOPC II (Walking Optimal Power Control II). By using these features, the DW1655 is able to maintain perfect control over the laser beam angle and the power rate being projected onto the disc, ensuring your data is written at the best possible quality.
WOPC II (Walking Optimal Power Control II)
With WOPC II, the writing quality is constantly evaluated, and the writing power adjusted accordingly during the recording process to ensure optimal writing quality over the entire disc.
Tilt Control further ensures optimal writing quality by repositioning the OPU (Optical Pickup Unit) in order to maintain a 90° angle between the laser beam and the disc surface at all times, even on warped discs.
BenQ QSuite 2.0 – Optimize DVD ReWriter Control
