- Digital noise reduction feature.
This sophisticated box not only upconverts various types of analog video input for optimal display on an LCD or a plasma display, it also enables you to switch between four different video sources.
Use a Video to PC/HDTV Switching Scaler in digital signage setups, meeting rooms, or anywhere you want to output and scale video signals for display on a plasma or LCD panel or through an LCD video projector.
Attach either standard definition (SD) or high-definition (HD) devices. The box accepts both TV and PC inputs and scales them to your desired high-resolution output. It's particularly ideal for streaming video from older standard definition equipment, such as DVD or disc players, VCRs, or camcorders, so it looks great on a larger, more-advanced display.
The scaler has four different inputs; Composite video (NTSC or PAL), S-Video (NTSC or PAL), Component video (SD and HD from 480p up to 1080i), and PC video (VGA 640 x 480 up to SXGA 1280 x 1024). The included BNC-to-RCA adapters enable Composite and Component inputs.
For video output, you just need to specify the scaled output type and resolution as either RGBHV PC (from VGA up to SXGA) or YPbPr HDTV video (from 480p up to 1080i). For Composite output, just attach the included HD15 to RCA adapter cable.
To switch between sources, simply push the lighted buttons on its front-panel display or, if you're sitting away from the box, push a button on the included IR remote control. Or, even more conveniently, switch using serial commands from a console plugged into its serial DB9 port.
For crisp and clear de-interlacing of video originating from 24-fps film, such as DVD movies, just activate the reverse 3:2/2:2 pull down feature. The switching scaler supports output aspect ratios for 4:3 (pan and scan), 16:9 (letterbox), or standard (full-screen) format.
Want to extend the scaled video to a remote display or other device over ordinary CAT5 cable? Then add a Mini CAT5 VGA Extender Kit (AC504A) to your application.
