The Black Box Fiber Connector Tool Kit has everything you need for making fiber cable terminations: crimping and stripping tools, a bench clamp, electrical tape, and more!
Once you order your kit, order the Prepolished Fiber Connectors that you need. Because the connectors are prepolished, there's no need for polishing and epoxy during installation.
All connectors come with a fiber stub in the connector tip, which is cemented firmly in place. You'll get the strength of a bonded connection with no gluing or polishing. The stub is polished to a Physical Contact (PC) finish.
The connector housing is also designed to make matching up the fiber stub and cable easy. Insert a stripped and cleaved fiber cable in the connector, and when you feel little or no resistance, the fiber and stub are matched up correctly. Then just crimp!
The ST and FC Prepolished Fiber Connectors also feature a rotating cam that makes termination quick and smooth.
With the kit and connectors, you may also need our No-Adhesive Mechanical Splice package, which includes six twist-action splices. Just insert a stripped and cleaved fiber cable into each end of the splice and twist.
To protect and organize your cables, order the Mechanical 6-Splice Tray, which holds six spliced connections securely.
