This FlexPoint Mode Converter for ATM OC-3 converts multimode to single-mode fiber and supports OC-3 standards over ATM networks as well as the Synchronous Optical NETwork (SONET). It's perfect for extending line drops in large corporations, regional and national telco switching offices, and other intercampus telecommunication systems. The multimode port supports distances up to 5 kilometers (3.1 mi.); the single-mode port supports up to 28 kilometers (17.3 mi.). The converter is protocol transparent at speeds from 1 Mbps to 155 Mbps.
