The SDSL Network Extender 2000 Kit provides affordable, high-speed LAN connections and Internet access over any grade of UTP cable—CAT5, CAT3, even CAT2.
It's ideal for use in situations where the local network and the gateway to the ISP aren't close enough to be directly attached to each other, such as in campus applications. It enables you to establish both DSL and Ethernet links on each side of your single copper pair and essentially provide a very long Ethernet connection.
For top speed, the SDSL Network Extender 2000 Kit supports up to a blazing 2.3 Mbps, depending on the range you select.
This plug-and-play extender requires little configuration. Just plug in the SDSL lines and make the Ethernet connections. For maximum distances, you may have to adjust the DIP switches to select the range and speed.
And because the extender can perform symmetrical data transfer, it's well-suited for applications in which two network segments must be able to send and receive data at equally fast rates.
