Two tools in one.
The IntelliTone Pro 200 Kit contains a toner and probe to offer both digital and analog toning. It's all you need to locate and verify virtually any copper cable, regardless of application or environment. That includes the twisted-pair, telephone, coax, security, and alarm wiring found in most buildings today!
With the IntelliTone Pro 200 Kit, you can locate and isolate the most hidden or bundled data, voice, and video cables. You'll be able to find cables at patch panels, switches, termination blocks, or even in floors, ceilings, and walls. Plus, the IntelliTone Pro 200 Kit enables you to validate and troubleshoot wiring on RJ-11 and RJ-45 cables A CableMap function to identify common miswires in twisted-pair cable. What's more, it detects telephone and Ethernet service so you can determine whether a line is a data or a telephone line.
Go digital.
Use the digital mode to trace and locate data cabling on active networks. This mode operates at a higher frequency to match high-end CAT5e/6/6a cabling. The higher frequency enables the tone to overcome competing data signals. Multiple tone types in the signal help you locate, isolate, and verify a cable. Digital toning also eliminates cable misidentification from signal bleed and radiated/ambient noise.
Run analog.
Use the SmartTone analog toning to isolate individual wire pairs and to trace voice-grade cabling (CAT3 and below) as well as audio, video and security cabling, and bare wire. These cables are optimized for lower frequency transmissions and are more easily isolated with a low-frequency tone. In analog mode, the tool will change "songs" when a pair is shorted at the far end to make pair identification precise.
