If the main SDI input is lost, the converter automatically switches over to the alternative input. This feature is great for outdoor use or in venues where working amongst large crowds may result in cable damage.

Changing Mini Converter’s built-in mini switch settings can be done with a pen, a small screwdriver or any similar object! This is great when you need to change settings quickly on location, as there are no complicated menus to navigate! You can also control settings using the included Converter Utility software by connecting the converter to any Mac OS X or Windows computer! All models can be updated via USB 2.0 by simply downloading software upgrades from the Blackmagic Design website.
