Textile protector
The unique Braun Textile protector is an easy-to-use click-on soleplate, which enables you to use full steam on delicate fabrics, safely. This is a unique advantage as most other irons do not produce steam on a one dot (•) setting and produce only a little steam on the two dot (••) setting. The Textile protector however enables full steam on any fabric, even the most delicate ones, and more steam means a better result, and a quicker one as well.
The Textile protector also reduces the chance of getting shiny patches on your dark delicate fabrics, as it reduces the soleplate temperature to a safe but still highly effective level. By clicking-on the Textile protector, the soleplate temperature is reduced instantly, so you no longer have to wait and can further benefit from being free of the hassles of using an in-between piece of cloth.

3 active areas
The unique 3 active areas on the soleplate optimise the steam output. The large number of steam vents in the tip enable precise ironing around buttons and pleats. The large number of vents on both sides of the soleplate enable effective "long stroke" ironing. The channels redirect steam in front of the iron and so precondition the cloth, making the ironing that much easier and quicker. The iron is able to deliver 25% more steam during ironing with the help of these unique 3 active areas compared to the same soleplate without this unique steam vent configuration.
Preconditioning steam
The innovative steam channels in the soleplate deliver 5 times more steam around the front of the iron, preconditioning the fabric. The fabric will be therefore be optimally prepared for an easily attained flawless finish.
Open handle design
