4334500, Bresser Spektar 60 15-45x60, BAK-4, FMC, 60 mm This new Bresser Spektar 60 spotting scope is packed with features normally found on far more expensive models. The scope is waterproof, lightweight with a heavily rubber armoured body; this makes the scope particularly suitable as a travel companion for the outdoor enthusiast.
The scope features a rapid focus system which is operated via a large focus wheel on the right side of the scopes body. This is especially effective if the user has gloved hands as may be the case in cold or wet conditions. The zoom eyepiece has a wide rubber sleeve which enables the scope to zoom quickly and smoothly in all conditions. The large eyepiece lens barrel is particularly suitable for attaching the digital camera adapter, making a very stable platform for those wishing to use the instrument for Digi-Scoping. The front element is protected by a built in lens shade which keeps stay light from entering the scope and causing flare. It also acts as a dew shield to prevent water condensing on the telescopes front element by maintaining a cushion of air in front of it.
The Spektar 60 uses Bak-4 prisms that increase colour fidelity, important for birdwatchers who need to be able to differentiate colour accurately when identifying different species of birds. The glass surfaces are fully multi coated which improves light transmission by helping to reduce light scatter which can result in loss of contrast and brightness in uncoated optics.
The Tripod Shoe rotates through 360° which makes the scope ideal for target spotting when mounted on a tripod.
