The 802.11g standard operates in the 2.4 GHz frequency band similar to 802.11b, but provides a throughput up to 54 Mbps by using a different radio technology in order to boost overall bandwidth. This PC card offers peer-to-peer connection via laptop ethernet LAN/WAN connection.

It is also backward compatible with devices on 802.11b standard and can easily connect to local hot spots.
