Lava Port-PCI 2-Port PCI Dual 16650 DB9 Serial Card The LavaPort-PCI delivers a data throughput rate up to a blazing 460.8 kbps; it has all the speed advantages of the LavaPort-ISA, but resides on the faster PCI bus. This allows the LavaPort-PCI to utilize the shared interrupt structure of the PCI architecture, access some non-standard Com addresses, while freeing up an ISA slot.

This UART serial board allows the user to configure COM ports on the faster PCI bus, and supports any PCI I/O address allowing greater flexibility in COM Port setups. Both 9-pin ports share one interrupts, virtually eliminating IRQ conflicts and minimizing valuable IRQs. This card includes an integrated 32-byte FIFO buffer with software-configurable Tx/Rx triggers, 4X clock, and on-board flow control.
