This identifier eliminates guessing when connecting telephones, modems, fax machines and computers to the RJ45 jacks of a wall outlet.

It will identify a 10Base-T Link, 100Base-TX Link, token ring link, analog telephone, PBX or ISDN Line. The unit also warns if unidentified signals are present at the jack, or if the jack is not connected. It scans all eight wires connected to an RJ45 outlet to identify the type of system connected, or the presence of potentially harmful unknown signals.
