Canary's CSE-D9TX is designed to enable devices with serial ports, such as Computer Numerical Controllers (CNCs) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to connect to an Ethernet network. CSE-D9TX Serial to Ethernet media converters represent a robust connectivity solution. They provide complete Ethernet and TCP/IP support including auto-detecting 10/100 Mbps interfaces that allows industrial milling machines, scientific measurement instruments and similar serial devices to easily migrate to network-based management or automation. By deploying the CSE-D9TX, users can retain and continue to make investments in low cost serial devices while enjoying the equally low cost and ease of use of Ethernet.
Equipped with a standard 9-pin serial port and RJ-45 type 10/100 Mbps Ethernet port, the CSE-D9TX media converter is the right solution when integrating an asynchronous device to a TCP/IP based Ethernet network.
Flexibility – The CSE-D9TX serial interface facilitates integration of asynchronous devices anywhere within an existing Ethernet network environment without requiring removal, replacement or modification of the current serial cable infrastructure.
DIP Switches – Simply use the rear panel DIP switches to activate several different connectivity modes, such as a terminating resistor or console mode. Make the appropriate choice and the CSE-D9TX quickly connects the serial device into your Ethernet network.
Cost-effective - By simplifying the integration of the existing asynchronous serial devices such as CNCs and PLCs within an Ethernet network, the CSE-D9TX represents a cost-effective solution for users eager to keep device replacement costs to a minimum.
Easy Implementation - The design of the CSE-D9TX allows straightforward 'plug-and-go' installation. Additionally, the compact form factor translates into standalone (desktop) or wall-mounted installation flexibility.
