Out of the box, into your network and then get started! Using the smartRAID Barebone is really easy. No driver- or software-installation is necessary. Simply plug in power and network cable. Just connect keyboard and any monitor to the smartRAID Barebone once, press the Power button and follow our instructions. Within 5 minutes your RAID setup will be started and you can give it a go!

Even if one of the hard disks fails you still have all your data. That's what RAID level 5 means. RAID 5 is a state-of-the-art storage algorithm using just one disk in the array for redundancy and taking care that your data is stored away securely on three hard disks.
Your smartRAID talks to you!
No joke or candid camera! The smartRAID is the only system on the market clearly stating if everything is ok. When you switch on the smartRAID a charming female voice will announce its IP address. And in the case any failure comes up the smartRAID notifies you via red light LED, e-Mail, status note at the smartRAID Control Center AND via voice file.
Officially that is called „Error message via voice notification“ - not very charming, is it? We really did our best: Our „station voice“ is a professional vocalist. Just listen to it!
