Security. Performance. Scalability. Without compromise.
The Dell™ SonicWALL™ SuperMassive™ E10000 Series is Dell’s Next-Generation Firewall platform for the largest networks, delivering scalability, reliability and deep security at multi-gigabit speeds. Culminating from years of research and development, the SuperMassive E10000 Series combines the highest performance with the most comprehensive protection. Designed to meet the needs of data centers, carrier, and service provider deployments, the E10000 Series is field upgradeable to grow along with network demands. With a massive multi-core architecture and patented1 Reassembly-Free Deep Packet Inspection™ (RFDPI) technology, SuperMassive offers industry-leading intrusion prevention, malware protection, SSL inspection and application control. It’s also designed with power, space, and cooling (PSC) in mind, providing the leading Gbps/Watt in the industry for application control and threat prevention .
Deep security.
Detect and block threats before they enter your network. Unlike competing legacy firewall and intrusion prevention technologies, SuperMassive looks at all traffic, regardless of port or protocol. Advanced malware attempting to communicate out through SSL-encrypted connections is no match for the SuperMassive Series, which offers the industry’s highest on-the-fly SSL decryption rates. In addition, your organization can take full advantage of best-in-class integration with authentication servers for intelligent, efficient acceptable-use policy enforcement through granular application controls for bandwidth management and enhanced productivity. Unlike the outdated two box firewall and IPS approach, where the products can’t share threat information with one another, the SuperMassive Series combines the power and intelligence of an integrated firewall and IPS.
Application Intelligence and Control.
Intuitive AppFlow Visualization tools allow for the identification of productive and unproductive application traffic in real time which can then be controlled through powerful application-level policies. Application control can be exercised on both a per-user and a per-group bases, along with schedules and exception lists. All application signatures are continuously updated by Dell SonicWALL’s research team.Additionally, Dell SonicWALL’s advanced operating system, SonicOS, provides integrated tools that allow for custom application identification.
Scalable performance with a multi-core architecture.
The Dell SonicWALL SuperMassive E10000 Series is built with a focus on high performance, scalability and high availability, providing large enterprises a platform to address their most demanding security needs. This combination of scalability and performance is a result of a powerful and massively scalable multi-core architecture paired with Dell SonicWALL’s proprietary deep packet inspection engine that can scale linearly to any number of processing cores. Environments that see their network security needs grow with time can upgrade their system to increase the available performance of their SuperMassive platform.
Engineered for high performance.
The SuperMassive E10000 Series is engineered to deliver ultra-low latency Deep Packet Inspection that large enterprises demand. The SuperMassive fabric interconnect provides 240 Gbps of nonblocking bandwidth with less than 1 μs latency for unhindered communication between the 96 processing cores and the 6 x 10-Gbps SFP+ and the 16 x 1-Gbps SFP ports.
Intelligent design for 10+ Gbps DPI throughput.
While stateful packet inspection is still necessary, it alone is insufficient to protect against today’s application and content-borne threats. Full deep packet inspection capabilities like intrusion prevention, anti-malware and application control provide a significantly increased level of security and network control, but must do so without diminishing network performance. Dell SonicWALL’s patented1 RFDPI engine provides a highly-efficient single-pass design that consolidates all security features into a unified scanning and policy engine, enabling the platform to deliver industry-leading deep packet inspection performance.
