ConnectPort TS W serial servers provide secure and easy integration of virtually any RS-232/422/485 serial device into 802.11b/g wireless LANs and wired Ethernet networks. They are ideal for use in environments where wired LANs are not feasible or where serial devices are moved periodically. Digi’s patented RealPort technology makes it possible to establish a connection between the server and networked serial devices by creating a local COM/TTY port on the server, allowing almost every software application to work with networked device servers without software modification.
For data privacy, the ConnectPort TS W family offers leading enterprise-class security such as complete WPA/WPA2/802.11i support for WLAN connections and strong 256-bit AES encryption via SSL/TLS/SSHv2 for both wired and wireless networks.
Easy-to-use configuration and management is available through an integrated and secure web user interface as well as a powerful Command Line Interface (CLI) option. The support for SNMPv2 makes device integration into centralized network management systems simple and effortless.
Additional device connectivity is provided through a USB port (Type A, host) to which devices such as Digi's Watchport camera or a USB memory stick can be attached.
