ConnectPort WAN VPN with embedded generic HSDPA module The ConnectPort WAN VPN is an upgradeable, commercial-grade 3G cellular router that provides secure high speed wireless connectivity to remote sites and devices. It can be used for primary wireless broadband network connectivity to equipment at remote locations, as well as for a backup to existing landline communications. Applications include utilities, industrial automation, POS/retail, financial (ATMs), traffic, medical, video surveillance and more.

With an upgradeable wireless network platform, customers are able to quickly migrate to future 3G platforms and beyond with supported Type 2 PCMCIA Card slots or PCI Express modules. Also included are two RS-232 serial ports for connecting legacy COM devices and a built-in four-port 10/100 Ethernet switch for connecting additional TCP/IP network devices.

ConnectPort WAN supports both CDMA EvDO Rev. A and GSM HSDPA/UMTS 3G networks.
