What is SDHC?
SDHC or Secure Digital High-Capacity is the next generation of SD Cards. New specifications allow SDHC cards to achieve capacities of 4GB all the way up to 32GB. SD cards only offer up to 2GB. In addition to higher capacities, SDHC cards also offer a substantial performance advantage over SD cards which is defined by a new speed class ratings system.
What is the difference between SD and SDHC?
Both SD and SDHC cards share the same physical attributes. SD cards are compatible with both SD and SDHC enhanced devices. SDHC cards, however, are compatible only with SDHC enhanced devices.
How do I know if an SDHC card will work in my device?
In order for your SDHC card to function, you must have it inserted into an SDHC compatible device. Ensure that your device has the SDHC logo on the packaging or in the product manual.
