Eicon SNA Connect for Windows NT v3 v3r5 SNA LAN Gateway for Windows is a PC-based, entry-level software package that combines with Eicon Networks' Eiconcards, to provide remote branch offices with flexible and cost effective access to SNA host-based corporate information systems. It links LAN-based PCs and existing SNA/APPN devices to IBM mainframes and AS/400s. SNA LAN Gateway for Windows easily integrates into many different networks. Support of multiple LAN and WAN protocols allows large corporations to easily roll-out SNA LAN Gateway across their networks, while at the same time protecting existing investments, without locking corporations into a single networking environment. This gateway provides the functionality of a FRAD, eliminating the need for separate devices when using a Frame Relay network for host access. SNA LAN Gateway for Windows capitalizes on large corporations' need for a reliable, uncomplicated SNA gateway at each remote branch office, by providing an easy to install product that takes full advantage of the Wizard technology inherent in Windows. Combined with Eiconcard Connections for Windows, it provides a complete, cost effective (SNA/OSI) solution for corporations with evolving LAN-to-LAN, electronic messaging and workgroup computing needs.
