In most DTP work, all elements of a document, including text, graphics and images are processed, stored and reproduced using PostScript code. When you print, an application processes the PostScript code and sends the processed image to the printer. As a designer, you need to know that your design will output correctly on a PostScript press, and you may also need to send visuals to your customer for approval.
