The Extron Surface Mount Kit is a replacement accessory for the exclusive, patented mounting system that is included with the Extron SM 3, SM 26, and SM 28 SpeedMount® surface mount speakers. This Extron-exclusive, concealed mounting system is designed to speed up installation. During rough-in, electrical contractors can install the mounting system on the wall and terminate the speaker cable to the mount's integrated wiring contacts. Later, installers can slide the SM 3, SM 26, or SM 28 speaker onto the mount and secure it into place, while automatically connecting to the wiring contacts.
