RJ-45, VGA, RS-232, 2048x1080 The Extron MTP T 15HD RS transmitter with EDID Minder® sends high resolution video and RS-232 signals long distances to a compatible MTP receiver over a single unshielded twisted pair cable. It features EDID Minder, which automatically manages EDID communication to ensure that the source powers up properly and reliably outputs content for display. The MTP T 15HD RS accepts high resolution computer-video on a female 15-pin HD connector and serial communication signals on a female 3.5 mm captive screw connector. The MTP T 15HD RS also features a local monitor output for systems that require a local display. Compatible with resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 (WUXGA), MTP T 15HD RS transmitters are ideal for applications such as large training facilities, museums, airports, movie theaters, and hotels.

The MTP 15HD RS Series non-CAT 7 models can be used with any CAT 5-type twisted pair cable or with Extron Enhanced Skew-Free™ AV UTP cable for cable runs of 600 feet (185 meters) or more with XGA signals, and 450 feet (135 meters) or more with UXGA signals.

Extron MTP 15HD RS transmitters and receivers precisely optimize image quality for various CAT 5-type cable lengths using adjustment controls on both the transmitter and receiver. The transmitters feature a pre-peaking switch that provides additional compensation at the front end for the longest cable runs. The receivers offer continuously variable gain and peaking controls, allowing users to dial in the exact amount of gain and peaking required for each unique cable run.
