With Blank & Cable Pass-through Plates
Extron Retractor Series/2 is a patented, variable-speed cable retraction and management system designed to work with AVEdge™ 100 and Cable Cubby® Series/2 cable access enclosures as well as the TMK 120 R Table Mount Kit. Retractor Series/2 modules support most AV and data signal types, including HDMI, DisplayPort, VGA, Network, PC Audio, and USB. Retractor DC extends DC power to laptops, and is compatible with many Dell, HP, Compaq, and Lenovo PCs. Cables extend up to three feet (90 cm) and are held securely in place at the desired length. The cables retract at the press of a button, with integrator-adjustable retraction speed control for smooth operation in both horizontal and vertical mounting orientations. Extron Retractor Series/2 XL is also available for applications where cable extension of five feet (152 cm) is appropriate.
Extron offers two Retractor Series/2 cable retraction modules that supply DC power. Retractor DC and Retractor Lenovo DC modules extend DC power from a power supply located beneath the table to laptop computers on the surface. Laptop power supply not included. Retractor DC is compatible with many Dell, HP, and Compaq PCs; Retractor Lenovo DC is compatible with select Lenovo laptops. See DC Laptop Compatibility Guide for details.
Extron Retractor Series/2 modules are engineered for long life and reliability, and tested to exceed 7,500 cable extension and retraction cycles. The robust mechanism is designed to withstand frequent use in schools, libraries, conference rooms, and other high-utilization environments. Each module includes a pre-loaded, continuous 12-foot (3.6 m) cable for a single signal type, ensuring consistent, reliable performance regardless of cable extension length. A six-foot (1.8 m) pigtail is provided on the system end of the module for ease of installation and connection to under-table AV system hardware or floor boxes.
Retractors can be mounted vertically for ease of installation next to a table leg or desktop support. For horizontal mounting applications under a table top or other flat surface, an optional mounting bracket is available. Each horizontal bracket holds up to three Retractors. For semi-permanent applications, AVEdge 100 enclosures accommodate up to three Retractor cable retraction modules. Mounting bracket is included. Cable Cubby Series/2 and TouchLink Cable Cubby enclosures support from three to eight Retractor modules, depending on the size of the enclosure. Optional mounting brackets may be required. The Retractor Filler Module is available to fill unused spaces in Retractor mounts. This Filler Module includes a Blank Cover Plate as well as a Cable Pass‑through Plate that accommodates stereo audio, network, or other cables. The Extron TMK 120 R Table Mount Kit for under-table mount installations is also available for installations where cutting a tabletop surface is not desirable.
