The FI9821EP is the first High Definition Plug and Play Power Over Ethernet indoor IP camera.
This is identical to the very popular plug and play FI9821P with the addition of Power Over Ethernet for easy installation without the need for a mains power supply. Please note: PoE switch or Injector is required.
The Plug & Play feature provides the ability to connect via smartphone or tablet by simply scanning the QR code on the underside of the camera. Bypassing the need to access your router and setup port forwarding, the FI9821EP can be set up effortlessly by anyone, even those with very little IT experience.
The FI9821EP adopts a high performance media processor and high speed video protocol processor making it capable of H.264 video compression for extremely smooth video transmission, increased FPS and minimal bandwidth consumption. In addition, due to the small file sizes produced by H.264 video compression it has the ability to save tremendous hard drive space when doing video recording. Furthermore, the FI9821EP also features a built-in DVR via on-board Micro SD Card slot for direct recording on the camera itself up to 32GB. In addition, it is smartphone compatible (iPhone, Android - app required) as well as viewable over the internet using standard browsers on PC (Firefox, IE & Chrome) or Mac (Safari only). The camera functions well as a smartphone baby, pet or elderly parent monitor or as part of a complete home/office security system with remote internet monitoring ability.
