What is FibreCap?
- In traditional implementations cache data is saved to disk in case of power failure, using batteries.
- Batteries are an unpredictable and fault-intolerant technology.
- Instead of using batteries, the FibreCAT SX uses the far superior fault-tolerant, extremely robust capacitor-based technology.
- FibreCap technology stores the cache on a Compact Flash card, which is faster and needs less energy.
- FibreCap does not require lengthy battery charging time upon initial installation or after restores.
