The FibreCAT TX08 from Fujitsu Siemens Computers is a compact and extremely reliable tape automation system which enables the cost-effective entry into the FibreCAT TX family for small and midsized companies. The FibreCAT TX08 is based on proven LTO technology, which provides large capacity, high speed and very small media costs. Depending on your individual requirements you can either order it with an LTO-2 or LTO-3 or LTO-4 half height drive.
It has 2 magazines with 4 slots inclusive one mail slot for input and output of individual cartridges. The FibreCAT TX08 is only one Rack Unit high whereas it offers up to 12.8 Terabyte compressed storage capacity when equipping it with eight LTO-4 cartridges. This translates into 2 weeks of automated data backup.
