Bintec W500 Wireless Access Point
The bintec W500 is the entry model for small companies and home offices and enable the user to set up a simple and cost optimized secure wireless network access. The unit supports the 802.11g standard with 54Mbps. The WPA-/WPA2 security Mode ensures for security at highest level for private and business applications.
The bintec W500 works as Access Point and can also operate as Wifi-Client. In Wifi-Client operation any device there has a Ethernet port can be connect to the wireless network. Nevertheless the bintec W500 can operate as a repeater or can be used to set up Bridge Links. The smoothly integration in the LAN the 10/100 Base-T-interface supports crossover (Auto-MDI/MDI-X). The binding from Wifi clients to the bintec W500 is very simple and cost only a few seconds when the Wifi client supports also WPS.
With the 5dBi omni-directional antenna there come with the bintec W500 you already achieved excellent coverage. The detachable antenna can be replaced by an external high gain beam antenna to improve the coverage for point to point connections.
